POPCOM IV is pilot-testing the Information and Service Delivery Network (ISDN) for Adolescent Health and Development (AHD) project in the City of Bacoor which will adopt and promote the establishment of the ISDN for the IsCool Teen Center (ITC) at the Bacoor National High School (BNHS) Bacoor City.
POPCOM Region IV recognizes the important role of adolescents and youth in the human and socio-economic development of an area. POPCOM IV also recognizes that addressing these critical concerns affecting young people needs the close collaboration and collective actions from all stakeholders including the concerned local government departments, civil society organizations particularly those providing services for young people’s concerns, and the religious and private sectors, for more strategic and effective interventions.
The ISDN links information and service delivery interventions for adolescent and youth health-related needs, and develop partnerships that are interagency, for comprehensive provision of health and development interventions for young people in Bacoor City.
POPCOM IV conducted two (2) meetings last August and October, 2016 at Bacoor City Hall in order to orient different stakeholders on ISDN. The members include the Office of the Mayor, the City Population Office (CPO), the DepEd Schools Division, the CHO, the CSWDO, and, the Strike Foundation, Inc.
